Instaweek

These kids love bath time!

I celebrated my birthday all week!  My first birthday gift from a sweet friend!

Aunt Beth got hold of Carter Man's hair!

I came home from school and was greeted by this pink tiger (courtesy of carnival day at school and past halloween costumes).

We spent the night at Mimi and Poppa's and had cookies and milk!  Yum!!!

I loaded my trunk up in one trip on Friday afternoon...a laptop bag, 2 tote bags, a crockpot, 2 gift bags, 2 lunchbags, a purse, and my "fall file" trash bag.  I'm sure I looked pretty ridiculous walking out of the school!

On my birthday morning, John and the kids had decorated, gave me some gifts and cards, and got me donuts for breakfast!  I'm so lucky!!!

Love these sweet kids!  Going to church on a cool fall morning!

Carter's First Haircut

(I'm playing catch-up here.)

Waaayy back before school started, Carter had his first haircut.  Aunt Beth cut it in my momma's kitchen.  Keepin' it real!  He sat in a booster seat with a snack and a cup.  He had it made!

Aunt Beth did a great job!
He's such a handsome boy!

Love this red, curly hair!!!

Hello Fall

I welcomed fall with a few little changes in our home.  First, some scarecrows, kale, and a pumpkin were added to the front door.

I have so many ideas for our mantle, but unfortunately, it holds a tv.  Ugh!  So, I don't have much room to work with.  I thought I would keep it simple with my Red Letter Words verse, dried flowers from my Matron of Honor bouquet this summer, Cinderella pumpkins, and candlesticks.

Love this cozy little spot in the living room!

This is my absolute favorite fall smell...Farmhouse Apple...mmm!

I switched out the kids' books to some of our favorite stories about pumpkins, apples, and leaves!

I added this felt leaf garland to our kitchen chalkboard.

We love apples!  Yum!  (I like mine covered in caramel)

Gourds and pinecones say fall to me.

I moved a few things around on the kitchen counters...just to keep things fresh.

And the final change, a bowl of candy corn was set out and has already been eaten.  What is it about that orange and yellow candy?  Why is it so irresistible???

Weekly Instagram Pics

I had yet another extremely busy week and I only took a couple of pics.

As Pete the Cat would say, "I was rockin' in my school shoes!"

Carter loves to kick!  He turned this punch balloon into a kick balloon.  You had to see it to fully appreciate his talent!  Ha!

Grace celebrated the letter Tt at school with a Teddy Bear Tea Party.  She brought Tinkerbear with a chef hat on.  Why a chef hat?  Because somebody had to make the tea.

We welcomed in fall with yummy candy corn!

This was sitting in my bed watching Sesame Street this morning while I was getting ready for church...interesting.

I'm really hoping to have some regular, normal posts for you this week, not just a weekly instagram dump.  We will see!

What a week!

This past week was exhausting!  John was out of town on a class trip to DC and I was not.  I should have known that this was going to be rough week...Day 1:  egg on the booty!  Ha!

It didn't take Grace long to figure out that there was some extra room in my bed.  So, this is what I woke up beside every morning.

When Grace and I picked up Carter at Mimi's on Tuesday, we were surprised when the Taylor boys were there.  So, of course, we had to stay and play a while.

Playing late at Mimi's meant doing homework late...Ugh!!!

My mom was such a HUGE help this week!  She kept the kids late one night so, I could go to a consignment sale and get the kids some clothes for the fall and winter.  Carter was so proud of these rain boots that I found for him!

Mom also kept them another night too.  I had parent conferences and this was my dinner, when I finally got home!  It was good!

I'm not exactly sure how I got myself in this mess!  Friday night, I cleaned out Grace's closest.  (the chore that I hate the most)

Saturday morning, we were all so glad to have Daddy home!

That afternoon, we headed to my sister's house to go to the fair.

I like this fair because it is small and simple.

But, it still has yummy food!

I'm so thankful for the upcoming "normal" week!  I hope yours in normal too!

Here's my phone pics from the week (creative title, huh?)

Last weekend, we went to the hunt house.

We saw the yucky pig.

Drew and I played with my phone.  He's my favorite Andrew in the whole wide world!

We rocked our sunglasses.  Ha!

I found these for $10 at Target!

Carter loves to change the baby doll's diapers...with his own.

We had a family movie night and we did not eat all of that candy...yet.

This weekend, I went with my sister to the Germantown Festival.  I love that place!

Love this rainbow necklace!!!

I bought some more bows for Grace.

Steph had a tent with lots of super cute frames!  Check out her facebook page, three boys blue.

Carter has turned into a tv junkie.  He is really loving Sesame Street right now.  At least, he's a cute junkie...right?
