Carter's Trike-A-Thon

Carter had the opportunity to participate in the St. Jude
Trike-A-Thon at school.  He raised some money for the hospital and they taught him about bicycle safety.  The kids then were able to use their knowledge about bicycle safety at school.

This little dude joyfully emptied out his bank and gave every penny he had to St. Jude.  He wants to give every coin that he finds to St. Jude and I'm pretty sure he talked Mimi into giving a little more than she had planned on.

I'm so glad I was there to cheer this guy and all the other cute preschoolers on!

He rode hard for a good hour.

He never slowed down and he never stopped smiling!

And, he totally killed that Trike-A-Thon!

#JacobsSeeRockCity {part three}

Sunday morning, we woke up rested and ready for another day of exploring.  We went to See Rock City on Lookout Mountain!  This was my favorite part of the trip as I'm sure you'll be able to tell by the 14 million pictures that I took.  It was fun being outside with my favorite people and seeing all that God has created!

We completed our trip with yummy pizza at Lupis...another of John's favorites!

We really did have a fun, busy, quick trip!!!  Everyone had a different favorite part...John loved visiting his college, I loved the mountains, Grace enjoyed the aquarium, and Carter couldn't get enough of the indoor pool.  It was nice to take a break from the crazy end of the school year and soccer stuff and just hang out with each other!

#JacobsSeeRockCity {part one}

We just got back from a weekend trip to Chattanooga.  It was short, but full!!!

These two were kind of awesome during the drive...Grace read and Carter watched and John and I were able to have semi-complete conversations!

A few hours later, we pulled up to the Chattanooga Choo-Choo.  Oh yeah!

We woke up Saturday morning to lots of hot Krispy Kreme donuts!  Mmmm!!!!

The kids were SUPER excited about the indoor pool...I'm pretty sure that they would have been totally content if we had of stayed at the pool all weekend.

But, we had places to go and people to see!  John's college was closing and they had a big reunion before the doors closed.

After the lunch and program, we went exploring the campus and listened to John as he relived his glory days!  Just so you know...the tire swing was not there when John was at school, but the tree was.

We spent the remainder of the afternoon at the Tennessee Aquarium.  It was humongous!!! After a couple of hours, we were worn out and questioning how we survived Disney last year.

We needed extra long arms to pet the sting-rays!

The butterfly house was our very favorite.  We could have spent a couple of hours in here!!!

Penguins are always fun!

Carter became quite the photographer while exploring the aquariums!

The jellyfish were his favorite!!!

Hangin' around with the spider crabs.

Carter Man and one of the Ninja Turtles...I think this was Mikey.

We had finally seen all that we could and it was time to go.

We ate dinner at one of John's favorites...Sticky Fingers.

What a fun day in Chat Town!!!
