carter had a fun first soccer season!

he likes to score!!!

every game "the good guys played the bad guys!"

soccer is way more fun to play when you have friends on your team.

grace hadn't played soccer in a couple of years.

but, she played hard and smart!

she likes to score too!

we're so proud of her for playing her best (which was pretty good!)

carter began his first ever season of soccer

puppy went missing for a few days and we (ahem, i) were very upset about it.  we found a look a like puppy on amazon and ordered it immediately, but, as we already knew, it wasn't the same.  we had searched the house inside out and we decided that he dropped it in the driveway while walking from the car to the house one day after school.  life just wasn't going to be the same anymore and some of us were dealing with it better than others.  then, a miracle happened!  puppy was found!!!  we found it in grace's bed where we had already looked about 15 times.  hallelujah!  we were so happy and carter started sniffing away.  he had to make up for lost time!

we might have a little soccer star here.

we had the awana kickoff and our last meeting in the community center.

completely out of nowhere, he just thanked me for teaching him how to wipe his bottom.  i guess this parenting thing isn't always a thankless job!

My phone pics from the last couple of weeks...

We went to Jerry's!  Yummo!!!

They've been playing school a lot...Carter loves his backpack because "it's cute!"

Grace wants to know who taught me to eat jell (aka: jello), Mimi or Poppa?

I got a sweet note from a sweet girl!

An apple for the teacher...it's hard to believe that Grace is in kindergarten!

the first day of school

Water game night to kick off Awana...fun times!!!

We went to the river and had a boatload of kids!  That's not even all of them!

Girls just wanna have fun!

Carter's turn!!!

These three!  They were sad when their ride was over because they were having so much fun talking.

It's that time again!!!

Team night at Awana!

Have you noticed that I use a LOT of exclamation marks?

I do!

I hope you have a fun weekend!!!

Grace's First Soccer Season

I would count Grace's first soccer season as a success!  We all had so much fun.  I loved watching her play and she loved playing!

Doesn't that look like the face of someone having fun?!?

She played really hard and really good (when she wanted to).

Of course, having your "best boy cousin" on your team makes it all the more fun.  The first half of the season these two were pretty much inseparable both on and off the field.

But...who wouldn't want to hang out with this cutie?  I mean, seriously, who?

During her last game, she was determined to play hard and she did!
dribbling
scoring
stealing the ball (even from her own team)

And, she scores!!!

three goals in one game...her best game yet!

She had this one red-headed fan that was at, like, every game.  When he wasn't cheering for her, he was attempting to play with her.  ya know...on the field.

In her opinion, the best part of playing soccer was running through the tUNnEl at the end of the game...

...and the SnaCKs!!!

My favorite part of soccer has got to be this team photo.  This has got to be the ca-ute-est soccer team e-ver!  Jerry Borwick did an amazing job!!!

We ended the season with a soccer celebration!  The kids played a little soccer and ate some pizza and popsicles!

Even that red-headed soccer fan showed up and he ate more pizza than the players!

Grace got her very first trophy and was so proud of it!

And...I am so proud of her!
