We are healed!
He was pierced for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our sins;
The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him,
And by His wounds we are healed.

InstaFriday x2
Oh yeah! Be jealous people. Be very jealous! Momma's got mad braiding skills!
Spring is s-l-o-w-l-y creeping in.
I have changed way too many stinky diapers lately! Way too many!
Grace was beyond excited to watch American Idol! We just started watching with the top ten. She has to sit right beside me to watch.
Looks like there is a new idol fan in our house!
"Whoa! Big Carter Man! Big bite!!!"
I got my March charm!
St. Patty's Day picnic in the park
Grace had her first soccer practice (and possibly her last if it doesn't stop raining!)
John and I had a date night and of course, we went to Anthro. These mugs are so happy!!!
I really wish I needed these! I love NYC...maybe next year. (Right, John???)
This dress is so cute. I'm trying to decide if I can pull off an all over bicycle print.
Date nights are the best!
Especially, when they lead to this deliciousness! I want to jump into the screen right now! Mmm! Soooo gooood!
Pippi Longstocking sleeps here sometimes.
Pjs were on inside out and we were waiting for the snow.
No snow day! Rude!
Milkshakes and cheeseburgers with Mimi and Poppa...mmm!
Have a fun weekend! Hope you stay warm and dry...come on spring!!!

hello spring
spring is such an exciting time of year. everything begins to wake up from the deep sleep of winter. life around us begins to blossom and play and laugh and sing. i am so glad that time has come again just when we need it to.
i wanted to bring some of that new life inside our home. so, i pulled out all of the things that represent that freshness. we absolutely love gungor's "beautiful things." i used that lovely song as a bit of inspiration for our home.
i was telling grace what words i was writing on the chalkboard and she said...that is perfect for springtime 'cause you can just see all the beautiful things that God makes...all the green and the birds and the flowers and the butterflies and the flowers on the trees and that nest by our front door.
on our kitchen table sits the things we use for our family devotions at dinner time (aka: the time that carter begins screaming and crying and spilling and throwing...seriously, it never fails.)
in the living room are some more flowers and nests.
and our pet butterfly
ha!
do you spy my valentine's gift? {it's from alexander creative} i love it!!! i haven't decided if i should keep it there or try and hang it somewhere...any thoughts?
i put my little baby easter bunny pics and a birdie in the entry way niche.
i also added a bird to my boxwood wreath.
even the hallway received a little spring artwork.
grace's baby feet turned butterfly...love those sweet little toes!
carter's cutie patotie baby foot is a little bunny!
and...just keepin' it real, here is my desk piled with many projects and mess and junk and work. ugh!
hello spring! i am so glad you are here and i am even more glad that my God makes beautiful things even out of an undeserving me!

Happy St. Patrick's Day
We met up with some cousins on the prettiest and warmest day of Spring Break and celebrated St. Patrick's Day with a picnic in the park.
We had a green lunch of spinach turkey roll-ups, grapes, pistachios, sour cream & onion chips, a mint, and Sprite.
Some thought it was delicious and some did not.
Either way, it was fun!
After lunch, we played!
Our group took up all the swings for a little while. They were loving being together!
"Charter" chilled out by the pond for a few minutes.
While we were playing on the playground, there was a tricky leprechaun playing at our picnic. But, he was a nice leprechaun and he left us some treasures!!!
We came back to eat a magically delicious treat that Beth had made and we found the leprechaun's treasure.
GOLD!!!
RaiNBoWS!!!
We had such a fun, yummy, magical picnic in the park.
WHaT a LuCKy DaY!!!
