movie night

popcorn + candy + pajamas = movie night!!!

we had our 11th anniversary movie night

this year, we watched (aka: played loudly in the background) Star Wars.

as usual, once the kids were cut off from the popcorn and candy, the movie watching was over and the playing began.

but, it's a fun tradition because we love getting to hang out with our family and eat a bunch of junk!!!

Movie Night!!!

It was Thanksgiving Eve and we had popcorn, candy, and Mr. Peabody & Sherman. That could only mean one thing...it was time for our 10th annual Movie Night!!!

Our family came over with pjs on!

After a little play time and a pizza dinner, we started the movie.

The kiddos usually last as long as the popcorn and candy. Once it's all gone, they are all back to playing! The Taylor family and Grace lasted a little longer than usual this year...it must of been a good movie.

Carter and Lily are obsessed with the babies, June and Trace.

After lots of tickling, it was time for everyone to go home and get rested up for a big day of turkey eating!

We had a fun night and we are so thankful for our amazing family who doesn't mind hanging out with us!

it's a great pumpkin family fun night

this weekend, we carved pumpkins.

the kiddos did a lot of the work.

carter and daddy worked on a spiderman pumpkin.

grace designed her pumpkin all by herself.

cheese!

the girls finished first.

but, this was not a race (said the boys).

the boys finished their fancy superhero.

then, we had some fun with the self-timer.

after that, the "momma, take a picture of this" began!!!

next, we had pumpkin shaped quesadillas for dinner.

we ended our pumpkin night with this classic!

(it comes on abc at 7:00 thursday night, if you want to have a pumpkin family fun night too!)

while we watched, we snuggled and snacked on popcorn and reese's peanut butter pumpkins! mmm!!!

frozen family fun night

we started our frozen family fun night with this super fun scavenger hunt! (thanks to my sil julie's pin!!!)

the clues were all song lyrics from the movie and since these songs have been playing in our home, car, classroom, and heads for about 3 months now, it was perfect!

i didn't get any pics of the kids hunting because they were running or jumping or spinning or hopping the entire time! actually that's not exactly true...i did get pics, but they were just blurs and flashes of colors.
