embrace the camera.

Last night, Grace and I settled down and watched American Idol.

After about one song, the boys left the room and went to watch basketball in the bedroom.
Oh, well...their loss!

So...who's your favorite?

Do you like to dance with Naima,
like Grace?

Or, sing along with Casey, like me?

Leave a comment telling who your favorite is!

put a little SPRING in your step

Even though it doesn't feel like spring outside, I thought I would try to bring a little spring inside!

I hung a wreath that I made last spring when we were a family of three.

On the mantle, I added a bird, chicken wire (yum!), jars with flowers, candles, a cross, and a nest with eggs.

I think this is my favorite vignette!

Or maybe, the sweet nest with 2 little eggs that I put on my desk is my favorite!

I filled a basket with spring and Easter books.

In the kitchen, I added another nest full of eggs and a footprint butterfly canvas (that I made when Grace was a baby), an egg crate, and a couple of jars of herbs.

Love the dollar spot at Target!

...and just because I can!

Now, it's your turn.  Go and put a little SPRING in your step!!!

Can I do it all?

I am finding it very difficult to...
eat
sleep
teach
feed kids
bathe kids
play with kids
&
water the plants

UH-OH!!!

Hello, Spring!

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation;
old things have passed away;
behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17

2 Month Checkup

Weight: 11 pounds, 7 ounces
Height: 23.5 inches

Carter's checkup went well.  He's "almost perfect," the nurse said.  The doctor started him on Zantac for GER.  Hopefully, I will be seeing a happier baby very soon!

The Leprechaun's Been Here

Freckles O'Rainbowchaser the Leprechaun has been here!

He made messes.

He played some tricks on us.

And the trap didn't work!

We did catch Freckle's sock!

(Grace kept saying, "What in the world?)

Mr. O'Rainbowchaser did leave the kiddos some gold coins!

(yes, Carter is completely soaked in spit-up...yuck!)

Wait a minute...this is not gold!  It is chocolate!  That tricky leprechaun!!!

(she looks really disappointed with the chocolate)

Then we made Magical Shamrock Potion!
sluuurrrppp!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

The trap is set!

Now, we are waiting...waiting to catch a tricky leprechaun!

read.

I went back to work last week after playing a stay at home mom for the past 2 months.  One day, hopefully, I won't have to play the role.  Maybe, I will actually be a for real stay at home mom! (praying)  It didn't take long to get back into the swing of things and it wasn't too hard.  After my "practice week" back to work, it is now SPRING BREAK!  Woo-hoo!  Today, we took a little field trip to the library.  Grace, now, has her "bery own libary card."  She has enjoyed going to the library!

She came home with a bag full of books!

Grace wanted me to take her picture with the alligator.

One of the books that Grace picked out was The Jellybeans and the Big Book Bonanza.  It is a really cute book!  A new favorite!

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream...

For Ice-Cream!

Grace has been working hard to earn ice-cream. She would get marbles when she completed different jobs and responsibilities.  She has been setting the table, cleaning her room, throwing diapers away, folding towels, and so much more!  She finished filling her marble jar up this morning!

So, we went to get ice-cream after dinner tonight!  She picked Rainbow Sherbet!  She couldn't pass up pink ice-cream!

Two Months Old

Carter, at two months, you...
  • like to be held, but you don't have to be
  • love your swing a lot
  • love your play mat a little
  • just started smiling and laughing
  • sleep at night in your bed and take naps in the swing
  • slept for 6 hours last night (fingers crossed)
  • eat 5 ounces every 3-4 hours
  • wear newborn and 0-3 month clothes
  • wear size 1 diapers

lots of smiles

We have been seeing
a lot more of this!

His smiles and sparkling blue eyes make me so happy!

A Seusstastical Party

We had a little birthday party for the kids to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday!

It was Wednesday...so Grace and Carter dressed WACKY!!!

Our guests were:
Thing 2 (Tripp), Thing 3 (Charlie), & Steph
Thing 1 was at school.

The Cat in the Hat (Lily) & Mimi

First, the kids made their very own Cat in the Hat hats.

Then, we read The Cat in the Hat and did our own tricks, just like The Cat!  The kids' tricks consisted of either jumping or flailing limbs!

Next, we read Green Eggs & Ham and made Green Eggs & Ham for lunch!

Try them! Try them! And you may.
Try them and you may, I say!

Say! I like green eggs & ham!
I do!  I like them, Sam-I-am!

Steph made some yummy
Thing 1 & Thing 2 cupcakes!

We had to sing "Happy Birthday" first!

To end the party, everyone made their very own funny thing!

What a FUN and FUNNY day!!!
