we went to the zoo?

so, we went to the zoo to try to squeeze in one last trip before our membership expired.  and, well...apparently, this whole summer thang had us a bit confused on the date.  we showed up to the zoo a day late.  oops!!!  we went to the park instead.  and we got ice cream!  

Happy St. Patrick's Day

We met up with some cousins on the prettiest and warmest day of Spring Break and celebrated St. Patrick's Day with a picnic in the park.

We had a green lunch of spinach turkey roll-ups, grapes, pistachios, sour cream & onion chips, a mint, and Sprite.

Some thought it was delicious and some did not.

Either way, it was fun!

After lunch, we played!

Our group took up all the swings for a little while.  They were loving being together!

"Charter" chilled out by the pond for a few minutes.

While we were playing on the playground, there was a tricky leprechaun playing at our picnic.  But, he was a nice leprechaun and he left us some treasures!!!

We came back to eat a magically delicious treat that Beth had made and we found the leprechaun's treasure.

We had such a fun, yummy, magical picnic in the park.

We watched fireworks.

Carter found Grace's old Elmo slippers and wanted them on!

Both of my children are a little OCD.  Carter puts his paci and puppy on the stools EVERY time he eats.

We went to the Wilhite Farm for the Fourth.

Even our pancakes were patriotic.

We bought fireworks from a road side stand.

Grace picked out these egg laying hens.

We ate lunch at Borroum's.

It was delicious!

It was fun!

Carter conked out after church.

We spent Sunday afternoon/night at Mawmaw and Pawpaw's with a bunch of family.  Pawpaw and the kids were looking through toy catalogs (circa 1994) and making their Christmas lists.  They like to be prepared.  HA!

The weather has been pretty cool (which is WAY abnormal for July) and we played outside and went on a walk.

The kids played with "their dog" who lives on the other side of the fence.

We were attacked my giant man eating koi! (more on that later!)

Steph and I celebrated our moms' birthdays with a girls night out.  We ate at Swanky's.

Then, we painted.

Mimi and Poppa invited the kids to the grand opening of the new park in their neighborhood.  So, we went to the "park party" and played!!!
