Thanksgiving 2012

Here is our Thanksgiving in pics...

I want to live a life of thankfulness and contentment every day, but how difficult is that!?! I Timothy 6:6 says, "But godliness with contentment is great gain."  A thankful heart is the key to contentment.  I am a sinner saved by grace.  I should be so thankful for that gift from my Savior every single second of every single day.  That is all that I need and all that I don't deserve.  And, He has given me so much more!  I want to live thanksgiving every day!

  

Champions {a guest post by John}

We are the Champions

Jenn and the kids got guilted decided to come see my men's league championship game. We were in the championship.

Carter decided he either wanted to play on the field or in the parking lot, not on the sidelines where he belonged.

Grace just soaked up the atmosphere and was a good cheerleader.

We won 4-2 and got these orange shirts for winning the cup. Jenn got to see me score a goal although I am sure she missed it. I am so happy they came and watched us triumph. Glory Glory.

Fireworks for Our Anniversary?

What an amazing anniversary gift...FIREWORKS...courtesy of Bellevue Baptist Church! 

Sunday night, we loaded the car up with blankets, chairs, a stroller, bug spray, snacks, and a soccer ball and headed to the Starlight Spectacular!  We found our perfect little spot and got settled in!

John and Grace immediately got to kickin' around the soccer ball.

A few minutes later, Brad, Steph, the boys, Beth, Kenny, Lily, Mimi, and Poppa all showed up. Yes, I said Poppa! (This is the first time he has come to the fireworks in years!) The boys must have been starving because they started eating as soon as possible!

Lily and Grace had to discuss their outfits!

Charlie and Carter did a little hand grabbing holding...so sweet!

Lily (aka: the picture ruiner) lived up to her name once again!  Ha!

Mimi and Poppa got all close together for me to take their picture and this is what I got!  Why Dad?  Why?

After a lot of playing, picture taking, snacks, and loving, it was almost time for the fireworks to begin!

Happy Anniversary, John!  Because of you, there will always be fireworks in my life! Mmm!  Cheesy goodness!

Andrew LOVED the fireworks!  I think my favorite thing about the night was watching him watch the fireworks!

Father's Day

Father's Day 2011

Grace and Carter are so blessed to have such a wonderful daddy!  On Father's Day Eve, John was putting Grace to bed and she picked out "Me and My Dad" for him to read act out.

Grace and I made John muffins for breakfast...complete with tie toppers!

He got some new soccer cleats that he was able to wear to his soccer game that afternoon.

We made some tie cards to go with our theme.  Grace told me exactly what to write on it...so did Carter.  Ha!

Daddy and these two kids who love him sooooo bery much!!!

We had so much time before church that we were even able to do a little Father's Day photo shoot!

After church, we went to my parents' house to celebrate Father's Day with my dad and Pawpaw!

Later, we celebrated with John's dad!

I am so thankful for all of the amazing dads in my life!  John, I am so glad that God chose you to be our children's daddy!  You are an awesome dad and I am excited that we get to raise our kids together!  I love you and hope you had a wonderful

Father's Day!
