InstaWeek

this week, i was on fall break and it was absolutely wonderful!!!

i actually cooked, every night!
we ate taco soup...mmm!

all week, grace and carter played together and they played hard!
peek-a-boo!  i see you!

john and the kids made pancakes for breakfast!

i made cheesy chicken lasagna and it was super yummy!

i worked for about 6 hours on the paperwork for my drop-in evaluation and when i finally finished, i celebrated with my fav, a caramel apple spice!  when i clicked the submit button, i literally began dancing because my stress was gone and it feels won-der-ful!

the next day, with the weight of evaluations off my shoulders, i snuggled with my kiddos in our jammies all day!

they discovered bubble wrap...fun!

we made these cutie paper plate pumpkins.

carter followed grace around all day.  they shared the same chair at lunch time.  she couldn't even go to the potty without her little tagalong.  i'm so thankful that they love each other and that she is a great big sister!

this little guy was absolutely horrible friday evening.  we were counting down the minutes to bedtime.  an hour and half after he was in bed, i went to check on him.  he jumped up, ready to go.  he played soccer, watched the cardinals, and was in a great mood.  he was just missing his sister, who he kept yelling for..."GAYCE!!!"

today, we went to the pumpkin patch.  it wore him out!  or maybe it was his late night up!

i know that i used way too many exclamation marks, but this was truly a super week!
fall break!
evaluations are over!
playing with my kids!
awesome!!!!!!!

Parent Day

That's so weird to think that I went to Parent Day.  Doesn't that sound like something old people do?  Anyway, Grace had Parent Day at school and we were so excited to go and see how she interacted with her teacher and friends.  She was pretty excited about it too!

So cute!!!

They sang songs, said their Bible verses, answered questions about some Bible stories.

Seriously...in love!

She went up to the front of the room and answered some phonics questions.  She can already blend some sounds together!  You know, like, ta, te, ti, to, tu!

They were learning about the letter Ll, so we got to make a ladybug snack with Grace before we left.

We are super proud of her.  She is a good little girl who always tries to do right and she didn't cry when we left!

celebrating

The Taylor's in Texas stopped by on their way to Disney World (whatever!) the other day and we celebrated Jenna and Jett's birthdays.

Everybody had fun hanging out and eating cake!

Grace & Jenna

Tripp is such a cutie!

Jett and Carter played together...kinda!

Glad they stopped by before their week long trip to Disney...so not jealous.  Ha!

InstaWeek

Carter got his feelings really hurt on Monday night when John and Grace ran inside the mexican restaurant to pick up our dinner.  He was feeling left out...poor guy!

These kids could easily turn into bums.  They could and would watch Sesame Street all day every day if we would let them.  We don't.  Most of the time.

John and I got to hang out with Grace at school for a little while!  Love her.  And her teacher.

Cubby Bear gets to spend the week with us.  I have no idea what that means.  Awana is so new to me and I am totally confused about all of it.  I will figure it out.  Eventually.

Best. Snack. Ever.

These are his favorite things in the whole wide world.  He could play with any ball and nothing else and be totally happy.

Grace had spirit day at school.  She came up with her outfit all by herself.  She tried it on the night before and then laid it out.  She said, "I'm so excited.  I feel like it's spirit day right now!"

The next morning, she got herself completely dressed without being told to.  She was proud!  She also won "Best Dressed!"

Carter thinks that watching baseball is great!  He just giggles whenever the ball is pitched.

I hope you had a great week.  We did!

The County Fair

A few weeks ago, we visited my sister and her family and we went to their small town county fair.

Carter petted a goat.

Grace milked the goat.

The girls sanitized their hands next to the goat.

Then, drank some goat's milk.

She said it was yummy and she has a goat milk mustache to prove it!

Grace and Lily ridin' the roller coaster!  They are getting so big!

The Fun Slide...they could have done this all night!

At the petting zoo, Grace was not impressed!

Aunt Beth helped Carter feed some goats!  I love this!

Fun Family Time

Look how pretty these girls are!

Carter wasn't big enough to ride anything, but I think he had fun anyway!

We grabbed some snacks and headed to the rodeo!

The girls rode a couple of more rides before we headed home.  This picture makes me a little crazy...flash forward 12 years! Ahhh!  Nevermind.  I can't even think about that yet!

We had so much fun.  We love hanging out with this farm family!!!
