It's My BLOGGY Birthday!

Wow!  My blog is a whole year old!  I'm so glad that I started documenting my family's life this way.  It is so much easier and cheaper than scrapbooking (which I still love...just don't have the time for) and (this may sound silly) I feel like it has made me be more present in my own life.  I feel like I am paying more attention to what is going on around me and what my kids are saying and doing.  It is also fun to go back and look at old posts!  Anyway...Happy Birthday, Blog!  And, thanks to everyone for reading!  

Now, I need to get back to planning for a real birthday party...coming soon!

Grace's 4th Birthday

This is a HUGE birthday week for the Jacobs family!  Grace's 4th birthday started the week off, then the good ole blog turns one, and the week ends with Carter Man's 1st birthday! 

Today, I went back to school, but John and Grace are still on Christmas break.  So, John took the kids to Chick-fil-A for a birthday breakfast. 

Grace had a special lunch! 

When I got home, we gave Grace her birthday gift...

...paint and an easel!

The perfect gift for our little artist!  The not so perfect gift for another "thing" to fit into our "cozy" house!

Grandma and Grandpa kept Carter so, we could take Grace out to dinner.  She chose to eat at McAlister's...all for the cheetos and teddy grahams! 

Then we surprised her with a movie at the THEATER!  

I think she had a pretty great birthday!  Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa, for letting us have a special night alone with our special 4 year old!

It's hard to believe that Grace is four years old today!  It seems like just the other day  we were bringing home our sweet little baby doll.
