Visiting the Taylor's in Texas

While on fall break this week, my mom and I took my kids to go visit my brother Daniel, Julie, Jenna, and new baby boy, Jett in Texas. We hung out and played and ate and talked and changed a whole bunch of diapers!  Grace loved seeing Jenna...she had really been missing her!

Jenna loved having Mimi there to read to her!

We visited Daniel's church on Sunday and got to see all the cool things that he has done there.

After church, Grace put on Carter's clothes and dressed up like a scarecrow.  Why can she fit into his clothes?

There was a dress up theme going on.

Carter had fun playing with the big girls!  He followed them all around the house!

She is such a big girl!  She loves Jett!

I think Carter loves him too!  He would make a great big brother, right John?

We visited downtown Kilgore.  Did a little shopping and saw the famous Kilgore oil wells.

We went to the big city, Longview, to eat dinner at Cheddars.  Carter and Jenna had a great dinner together in their highchairs!

Grace and Jenna had to get as much playing time in as they could before we left.  They played anywhere and everywhere!

I'm so glad we got to hang out with the Taylor's in Texas and meet Jett!  I miss them so much and can't wait 'til Thanksgiving when we will see them again!

the pumpkin patch

We took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch and had a wonderful time!  Grace ran straight to the train as soon as we got there!  She was so excited!

Carter played with Daddy while Grace was riding!

We hopped on the hayride and headed out to the pumpkin patch.  Why am I the only one smiling AND looking at the camera?  Come on people!  Focus!

It didn't take Grace long to find her perfect pumpkin!

And Carter found his!

They are such big kids!

Grace had one final ride on the train.

This time I got to play with my Carter Man!

Here is our pumpkin family!

Oh wait!  We forgot someone.  Grace added a Lily pumpkin.  I just laughed!  Of course, Lily would jump in our family photo...even our pumpkin family photo!

Fall is fun!

I want to print one of these photos on a canvas and I can't decide which one!  Any opinions?  Which one is your favorite?

A Toy Story Birthday

Sunday, we got ready for church and we had a couple of minutes to spare before we needed to leave.  A true miracle!  Like, that NEVER happens.  Normally, when we sit down in our chair in Sunday School, we finally take a deep breath and congratulate ourselves for making it to church with everyone dressed!  Anyway, I used those extra minutes to document this miraculous event in the Jacobs' family.

After church, we headed to Tripp's 3rd birthday party.

The kids played some games.

digging in the sandbox for Mr. Potato Head's parts

Grace gave up and decided to swing.  She would rather swing than just about anything else!

Tripp playing "There's a Snake in My Boot!"

And then the birthday boy defeated the Evil Emperor Zurg.

Grace decided to give the whole "playing games with the kids" thing another try.

Then it was time to open presents...a soccer ball...pretty awesome gift!

Happy Birthday, Tripp!  We love you!

Grace and the infamous Jesse cupcake.  The one that sent the entire cupcake tower crashing.

Lily and Bullseye

After cupcakes, the real fun began!  The kids played Toy Story.  I love Grace's face...she was really playing!

To infinity and beyond...or maybe just home!
